Everyone knows deep down they need to keep backups. But it is only the select few who have always put off making backups and then lost hours/days/weeks of work that truly appreciate the importance of backing up important information.
It may feel like a waste of time performing regular backups, but it is a vital task. There are many causes of loss of data including hardware/software failure, malicious and accidental loss.
How to Backup your Data
Here are some tips to follow in order to keep regular backups:
- Backup important data to a USB Drive or External Hard Drive.
- Backup data locally and to LIS managed storage or online storage.
- Perform backups regularly.
- Use folders and file names concatenated with the date/time.
- Dont get complacent or lazy, as thats the time you will lose data..
