How to connect your DSi to swis-lite

The wireless service enables members of the University to connect to the University network and the Internet using their own computers and devices at various locations around the University and Halls of residence. This guide contains instructions to connect a computer to the swis-lite wireless service.

Configure Swis-lite

The first thing you need to do is configure the swis-lite wireless connection. To do this follow these steps:
1. Go to System Settings and click Start.
2. Then select Wireless Communications.
3. Next select ON and click OK to turn wireless on.
4. Now Scroll the menu right until you see Internet, and click it.
5. Then click Connection Settings.
6. Now click Advanced Setup. 7. Then click Connection 4 to create a new connection.
8. Now click Search for an Access Point.
9. Next select swis-lite from the list. You may have to scroll down.
10. Now click the Change Security Settings button.
11. Select WPA2-PSK (AES) from the list, and click ok.
12. Next you need to enter the password or key. This was provided to you in the registration confirmation email.
13. Once you have entered the key, click ok.
14. When you return to the previous screen, click ok.
15. You will be asked to Save the settings, select ok.
16. You will then be asked to start a connection test, select ok.
17. Once the connection test is successful you can return to the DSi Menu and you are now connected..
